Privacy Policy

Draft — pending legal review.

A plain-English summary of what we collect and why, during early development. A lawyer-reviewed version is planned before public launch.

What we collect

Account data (email, username, optional display name, bio, avatar, website) via Supabase Auth; the modules, stacks, ratings, and reports you create; and basic usage events (views, copies, downloads, compiles) used for counts and moderation, not ad targeting.

How we use it

To run the product: authenticate you, show your published content, compute rating and download counts, and moderate reports. We don't sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Third parties

Supabase (database, auth, storage) and, once configured, GitHub/Google OAuth for sign-in. Hosting is planned on Vercel. Each processes data per their own privacy policy.

Retention

Your content stays until you delete it or your account. Deleting your account removes your profile; published modules or stacks you authored are handled per the terms of service (module deletion is blocked while another module depends on it).

Your rights

You can edit or delete your modules, stacks, and profile at any time from your dashboard. For anything else — including requesting deletion of your account and data — email hello@markdowners.com. These requests are handled manually and confirmed by email.

Cookies

We use only the session cookies Supabase Auth needs to keep you signed in, and a local theme preference stored in your browser — no third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
